NANCY BORAH SELECTED AS NEW VICE PRESIDENT, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT; HOLLY SMITH ASSUMES ROLE AS VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

MONUMENT, CO (March 8, 2010) - Optimetra, Inc., which provides business development services to the healthcare industry, announces the appointment of Nancy Borah as the company’s new Vice President of Business Development. Optimetra’s current Vice President of Business Development, Holly Smith, will be transitioning to the role of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.

Ms. Borah brings over 25 years of diverse experience in managed care consulting, marketing, and client relationship management in both public and private sectors. Her experience includes working with national health insurance companies, healthcare data organizations, healthcare providers, and consulting firms. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President with one of the largest independent insurance, risk management and employee benefits consulting firms in the Mid-Atlantic Region, where she managed a team of Health and Welfare consultants responsible for advising businesses on employee and executive benefits. Ms. Borah holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Emory University. Optimetra President, David Kumpf, said, “We’re pleased to have Nancy’s extensive experience and connections in business development and government healthcare on our team.” He added, “Her proximity to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Washington DC will also enable us to closely monitor developments in health reform as they occur, benefiting our clients.”

“I am very pleased to join the Optimetra team. It is an honor to work with the experienced group of professionals who have made positive impacts on our clients’ business expansion efforts. I look forward to continuing this level of contribution,” Borah said. Current Optimetra VP of Business Development, Holly Smith, will transition out of the role over the next six months, as Ms. Borah comes on board. Ms. Smith will assume the newly created role of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Kumpf said, “Holly’s service to the company over the past five years has been invaluable, and I look forward to our continued collaboration. During her tenure, gross revenues have more than tripled and our breadth and reach in the industry has expanded tremendously. Because of the knowledge she has gained in observing the evolution of public sector healthcare, we expect to continue to lead in development of valuable products and services for business development and implementation.”

“Healthcare reform is accelerating change in our industry. We need true innovation – unconventional thinking and creative solutions – to forge the path ahead. Optimetra has always helped clients deliver innovative solutions to their customers and members. As Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, I will ensure that we reflect industry trends in our capabilities and services and that we continue to provide the fresh perspective that our clients need and expect,” stated Smith.

OPTIMETRA RECOGNIZED BY PROJECT MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE AS REGISTERED EDUCATION PROVIDER

MONUMENT, CO (July 24, 2009) - Optimetra, Inc., a leading business development consulting firm for Healthcare, announced today that it has been recognized by Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.). As an R.E.P., Optimetra will be able to offer its clients contact hours in fulfillment of project management certification eligibility requirements, as well as Professional Development Units (PDUs) to fulfill the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR).

PMI introduced its R.E.P. program in 1999 after instituting new continuing education requirements for maintaining PMP certification. The program is designed to help PMPs easily locate recognized training providers that follow PMI-established guidelines. PMPs must earn 60 PDUs required every three years to maintain PMP status.

"In today's health care environment, where a company is juggling numerous regulatory, strategic, and quality-driven initiatives, today's project manager has greater demands than before. A stronger emphasis is being placed on efficiency identification, cost savings opportunities, and tighter deadlines," says Adam Birnbaum, past president of the PMI Healthcare Specific Interest Group. "An investment in project management training, from a designated PMI education provider, will help make that difference."

Optimetra has been providing clients with healthcare-focused project management training since 2001. “We demonstrate to our clients in Managed Healthcare and Human Services the value of formalized project management,” said Holly Smith, Vice President of Business Development for Optimetra. “We encourage them to make an organizational commitment to developing top notch, professional project managers. Our services combine Healthcare expertise with the mentoring and training they need to fulfill that commitment,” Smith added.

“Healthcare Reform, as well as new initiatives such as the implementation of electronic medical records (EMRs) and ICD-10 (the procedural coding system) will accelerate change in our industry,” said Optimetra CEO, David Kumpf. ”Those changes, to be implemented successfully, must be planned and directed in an organized and disciplined way. Competency and leadership in project management will be essential to organizational success. Those who don’t have it are likely to lose the race.”

In order to be recognized as an R.E.P., Optimetra was required to have course materials reviewed by a designated PMI reviewer, and the firm’s materials will undergo subsequent reviews every three years. An R.E.P. must also have offered project management training for at least one year, must demonstrate that instructor qualifications align with course objectives, and must have a PMP review each course offered before submitting it to the R.E.P. database.
