As a licensed attorney with a Masters in Social Work, Carla is an excellent writer with in-depth knowledge of mental health issues. In addition to her JD and MSW, Carla is a certified child and family investigator in the Denver area and has represented children facing dependency and neglect, domestic violence and abuse, custody issues, paternity matters, and child support, all working within the Medicaid system.

Carla’s first-hand experience with the behavioral health issues and political challenges in the child welfare arena gives her a unique perspective on case management and individual rights for populations served by state programs, such as children in Foster Care. She can help educate your SMEs and produce winning proposals that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of complex health care needs often represented by these vulnerable populations.
