Home Base: Saint Paul, MN

Carol is a career proposal writer with over 25 years of experience in public and private sector writing, editing, and managing proposals; improving process; and developing content. She has in-depth knowledge of Medicaid, having written the full spectrum of health care proposal responses in her work for Molina Healthcare, ACS (Conduent), and UnitedHealthcare.

Carol first wrote in a television newsroom, which allowed her to develop her storytelling skills in a deadline-driven, high-performing environment. She moved into proposal writing on federal research and development and on defense proposals in multiple classified environments for 3M, Control Data, and Honeywell. She went on to write highly customer-centric global information technology proposals for IBM, which was followed by 10 years in health care. Carol brings special expertise in developing tools that are truly useful for proposal writers and has mentored and trained many beginning writers during her career.

Carol is particularly skilled at working with subject matter experts, using her flexible and collaborative style to draw out the value each client brings to its customers and to transform that value into clear, persuasive responses. In addition, she applies her personal experience with waiver populations and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to write compassionate and compelling responses for services to some of our most vulnerable populations.
